Susan loves to create three-dimensional hollow form beads. She begins with a flat metal sheet that she textures, cuts out, and domes. Then she solders two pieces together to form a shape. These hollow forms are darkened with liver of sulfur to highlight the texture. The combination of copper and silver, patterning, and unique cut-out shapes add interest and make the pieces very versatile. The beads rotate individually to show the silver or copper sides. The hollow form pieces also feel good because they have depth and are smooth. All pieces are protected with Renaissance Wax and each piece is unique.
